CHINA
In 2004, we flew into the Shanghai airport. From there, we headed by cab to “Old Shanghai.” On the way, what we saw was truly breathtaking, the metropolis of the new city, recently built and an order of magnitude larger than New York City. After a few days, we headed west by plane to Chengdu, the home of the guide that would be taking us to Tibet, our ultimate destination on this trip.
