VIETNAM

In 2002, we decided to go to Vietnam. As we prepared the itinerary for the trip, I noticed that I felt some ambivalence. I still had vivid memories of sitting in my medical school auditorium and listening to my lottery number being called to be drafted into military service in Vietnam. My number was 330. I was lucky.
